MACHAPP Software Ltd is a small independent studio in Limassol, Cyprus, founded in 2015. Its Android weather apps have been in continuous development for more than fifteen years. Transparent Clock & Weather has passed 70 million installs on Google Play (Google Play listing, October 2026). Local Weather Forecast & Radar runs on Android and iPhone, and Sleep Sounds covers the quieter end of the day. The help pages and guides on this site are written by the people who build the apps.
We do not produce forecasts ourselves. The apps read from established meteorological services, and you choose which one your forecast comes from: Foreca, OpenWeatherMap, or Met.no, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. For locations in the United States, severe weather warnings come from the National Weather Service. If a forecast looks wrong for where you are, switching provider is a setting rather than a reinstall – and comparing two of them is the quickest way to see how much any single forecast is worth trusting on a given day.
The widgets are why most people install. Instead of one fixed look, you set layout, size, colour and transparency, and give each widget its own saved location – so the home screen shows the weather you actually care about, at a size you can read without opening anything.
